Som om å vinne Game of the Year på Game Awards var det ikke nok den kritikerroste The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt har blitt nominert for å vinne tittelen på SXSW Gaming Awards 2016.
Det står opp imot bloodborne, Fallout 4, Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain og Undertale. Andre kategorier inkluderer Tabletop og Mobile Game of the Year, priser for Excellence in Gameplay, Art og Animation samt priser for mest verdifulle Esports Team og mest underholdende online personlighet.
SXSW vil finne sted, som vanlig, i Austin, Texas mellom 11. og 20. mars 2016 med Gaming Awards blir holdt på 19. i Hilton Austin. Arrangementet er helt åpent for publikum og er gratis, slik at alle kan gå og oppleve seremonien.
